This collection of photos was taken following the week of my sister's birth. I wanted to capture this incredibly intimate and powerful connection between a mother and her newborn; the way they bond, nurture one another, and the strength that lies in a woman's ability to grow life. The beginning of a new life is something so amazing to witness firsthand, and I wanted to capture a portion of that experience.
